"I don't need friends or anyone!" Laika hissed, crawling out of her burrow, which was where she had been for a few days.
"I'm me! I don't need any stupid so called friends that go and leave me for funnier or prettier people." Her eyes flared like embers, much different than the usual warm orange eyes or the cooled milky color they would dim into.
Though her tail held the doll that Dougie had made tightly in it's grasp. She did like the feeling of friendship or something more, but feeling them leave wasn't worth it. It was like a hole had filled that once overflowing and upbeat little feeling and sat there.
They were gone. They never liked you. You were just a pebble in their shoe.
She decided to shake it off and dropped the cat plushie on the rocky entrance to her burrow. She was going to the mountains and see that old man that can build rad flying machines. Doge was only a little annoyance to drag around, so she left him at home. She was going to build some sweet hovercraft.
